Sean Smith didn’t start due to team rule violation

Miami Dolphins cornerback Sean Smith(notes) didn't start against the Atlanta Falcons due to a violation of team rules and was replaced in the lineup by Jason Allen(notes).
Smith went back in the game after the first quarter. Allen allowed a touchdown pass to nfl throwback jerseys Roddy White(notes).
"No it wasn’t a message one way or the other," Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said in remarks distributed by the team. "It’s just something that I did. Sean, he had a team violation. I started Jason Allen.”
Smith didn't specify what he did to get benched.
"You know, it was my fault," Smith said. "I did something that I wasn’t supposed to do. I had to pay for it. It was tough standing on the sideline watching the guys out there that were going to work without me, but I did the best I can. I just have to nfl football jerseys move past that.
